FIA Announces Jim Warren’s Departure as President and CEO; Angie Gibian Appointed Interim President 

December 10, 2024 [Cleveland, OH] – The Forging Industry Association (FIA) announces that after seven years of exceptional leadership, President and CEO Jim Warren will step down to spend more time with his family and pursue the next chapter of his life. Under Jim’s leadership, FIA has experienced significant growth and many key achievements.

During Jim’s tenure, FIA saw an increase in membership, the launch of a quarterly magazine, the securing of the Association’s first meaningful government contracts, and the expansion of Forging University. Additionally, Jim has been instrumental in building and training a strong staff, setting the organization on a path for continued success.

“We are incredibly grateful to Jim for his tireless dedication and passion for the forging industry,” said Jim Kravec, FIA Board Chair. “His leadership has had a profound impact on the Association, and we will miss his enthusiasm and commitment.”

Looking ahead, the FIA Board of Directors will immediately begin an exhaustive search for a permanent President and CEO. In the interim, Angela (Angie) Gibian, CAE will step into the role of Interim President and CEO. The Board is confident that Angie’s leadership and deep knowledge of the organization will ensure a smooth transition as the search for a permanent successor is underway.

“On behalf of the entire FIA Board of Directors, we would like to extend our best wishes to Jim as he embarks on the next phase of his life, which will include spending more time outdoors with activities such as fishing, hiking, and golfing. We thank Jim for his years of service and wish him nothing but the best in all his future endeavors,” added Kravec.
